Ho Ho Ho – A Big Thank You to Our Santas

A big thank you to all our volunteers who took part our Santa run in aid of the Children’s Cancer Recovery Project – We hope you enjoyed yourselves!
This was our first ever Santa Run and it has been an incredible success. Over the London and Manchester Events our volunteer Santas raised almost £5000 between them and the money is still coming in. Thanks to their fantastic fundraising efforts we will be able to create even more smiles not just for Christmas but for a very happy new year!
The money raised will go towards:
• Buying toys, books and games for children undergoing cancer treatment. These help to distract them and create happy memories they may otherwise miss out on.
• Offer emergency financial relief to families unable to pay their bills while undergoing cancer treatment. This helps them to focus on getting well and back on their feet financially.
• Provide advice and guidance to adults and children with cancer about integrative care. This includes nutrition, exercise and stress management.
• Send much needed medicines to developing countries where they would otherwise be unavailable.
• Enable us to work with other charities and partners so that together we offer a full and informative service to people who turn to us.
• Spread the word that cancer can be prevented and often survived with some simple lifestyle changes.
It’s great that Cancer Recovery Foundation inspired so many volunteers to step up and join in our Santa Run. We have lots more exciting challenge events planned for 2012 including London to Paris cycle ride, Kilimanjaro trek and for the dare devils amongst you Skydiving!
