Support
When a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer she needs more than medical treatment for the disease. She needs support and advice so that she can achieve overall wellbeing and health. This is what we offer.
We help women with breast cancer to be actively involved in their own recovery. To consider the health of their minds, their bodies and their spirits, so that they can become well again from head to toe, inside and out.
This is not the approach currently taken by many medical professionals, who instead do all that they can to remove and treat the tumour. This is important, and of course forms a very solid base for overall treatment, but much more is needed so that the whole woman can recover from the cancer, the treatment and the impact it has on her life.
We do this with our survival packs – 81% who received these changed their lifestyle and approach to recovery as a result.
And thanks to donations from members of the public, we offer financial assistance to women struggling to pay their household bills, care for their children or travel for treatment following a breast cancer diagnosis. Removing this financial burden offers them space and time to focus on getting well again.
